CACIQUE BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT BEGINS

On Friday, 9/10/21, members of the Santa Barbara Eastside Society, SBES, began work in preparation for the Eastside Beautification Project.  

SBES members Tino De Guevara, Jesse Espinoza, and Chris Barros teamed up to prepare and dig the existing weeds (with permission from City officials).  It quickly became clear that this 14-foot-long plot of weeds would require more than back-breaking labor.  After about an hour of labor by the 3, it was resolved to return on Monday, 9/13/21 to weed-whack and chemically treat the weeds before the soil amendments and new plants could be utilized.
